All food businesses in both Northern Ireland and Ireland are required by law to have a food safety management system in place that is based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point). The HACCP system allows each business to identify and control any hazards that could pose a danger to the preparation of safe food. It also involves identifying what can go wrong and helps planning to prevent it and makes sure you are doing it correctly. HACCP is a legal requirement that benefits your business.
HACCP LEVEL 1

HACCP LEVEL 2

HACCP LEVEL 3
The Food Safety Ireland Level 3 Award in HACCP in Catering is practical, accessible and a user-friendly qualification which has been created to help caterers comply with EU legislation, Theis course also provides a thorough understanding of how HACCP-based procedures are applied in food manufacturing and catering context. HACCP LEVEL 4
Food Safety Ireland offer Level 4 HACCP qualifications are aimed at learners either at or working towards management level in a catering or manufacturing business. Achievement of either of these qualificaitons will enable learners to understand the importance of implementing a food safety management system, based on the Codex HACCP principles, and give learners the skills to critically evaluate HACCP plans. It is recommended that candidates have already completed a Level 4 Award in Food Safety, or the equivalent, and/or a Level 3 HACCP qualification before attending this course.
These qualifications are useful for auditors, enforcers, trainers and other food safety professionals.
